My Calling Testimony

Calling into the Government of God

“I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”  (Acts 2:17)

God is Spirit and communicates to man through grace. The grace of God is manifold and includes the gifts of the Spirit, dreams, and visions (Acts 2:17) which carry the divine communication of God into the heart.  In order to function in the office and calling of apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, or evangelist, one must first be:

• Called by God (God communicates this to the individual through dreams and visions),
• Prepared for service with truth in the heart, and
• Confirmed by an apostle and the presbytery.

It is God who selects the government calling for the individual.  It is God who makes that selection of calling known through the direct communication of His grace (dreams and visions.)  Before the individual is confirmed into that office of calling, the presbytery of the elders ensures that the individual has a documented history of divine communication pointing to the divine calling.  The testimonies on this page may only be a small representation of those revelations for calling and do not include the revelations, dreams, and visions God grants for growth on a daily basis.

The Presbytery also ensures the individual is working with faith and not building with their aspirations (driven with an imagination).  This oversight allows the individual to demonstrate a pattern of consistent cooperation with the Spirit of God.  This oversight further allows the individual to show a pattern of faithfulness to Jesus Christ in conforming to His gospel of truth, showing a pattern of good works according to the power of the Spirit of God.

The callings of God’s government are not established by the logic of man.  The wisdom of the world does not set a standard for the qualification of God’s government nor does it set a standard for its function.  Those who live by the powers of this world use the wisdom of the world as a water mark for the callings of God, and fall into perdition. 

If we examine the calling carnally, looking for credibility in the flesh, and not in the grace, then we will abhor that which the Lord has selected and chosen with His Rod (Jesus Christ) and set requirements which God did not set and call that which is holy (Jesus Christ), common.

God is calling Apostles into the unity and purity of the faith.

Testimony of John Welty

Apostle

August 29th, 2002 --- Dream of instruction for preparing soil

I had a dream last night where I was being taught to prepare the soil properly for growing a garden. The instruction was hands on training as the real ground was being worked as I was being taught. I don't have any gardening experience, but it seemed to me that this training FAR exceeded the knowledge generally involved. I was being taught about the detailed breakdown of the soil composition, the need for proper balances, the seeds and how they grow, the way the seeds must be planted. It was very exact and every detail was being shown to me by the teacher who very clearly loved the labor. It was like a father teaching a son more than a manager teaching a trainee.

After we had prepared the soil, I asked about how to water it. I was quickly told that I could not simply pour cold water on this perfectly prepared soil but that I now needed to begin preparing the water.

When He was finished (I never saw Him but only heard Him and saw His working), we had a trough of perfectly prepared water with all the necessary makeup to be used for watering the garden. I was amazed at how detailed and intricate the instruction was. (This speaks of the calling of an apostle to prepare truth within the hearts of believers so that they may be prepared for fruit bearing in the Kingdom of God.)

Aug 31st, 2002 --- Prophecy through Apostle Eric:

"My hand shall be your hand and my arm shall be your arm. My thoughts are your thoughts." This was accompanied by the manifestation of a ministering spirit to confirm level to sacrifice of prophecy.

Aug 3rd, 2003 --- Dream of being embraced by the Church:

I was at work and making rounds and there seemed to be much interest in my relationship with a woman. As I was going around the shop, I saw her coming toward me. She was an older woman and as she moved through the shop there was a sense of a royal procession. A path was made clear for her almost as if she had an entourage surrounding her even though she walked alone. Every eye was upon her and her gaze fell upon watchful eyes with tremendous grace which clearly impacted those who she looked upon with much power.

As she neared me she stopped. My heart was so very moved by her presence and my love for her burned inside me while I waited for her to reach me and look upon me. I respectfully walked toward her as she gave me a look of approval and I fully embraced her in my arms before the eyes of all those present. This woman was the love of my life and I had no thought of what they all thought of my showing such deep love for her. My heart and thoughts were completely centered upon her!

As I reflected upon this dream my heart was filled with awe, adoration, love, compassion, joy, and peace which was beyond anything I had experienced in the past.

Oct 18th, 2003 --- Dream of blueprints:

This dream dealt with a drafting job (working with blueprints) and it was extremely high paid:

Nov 15th, 2003 --- Dreams/Tongues:

This dream had to do with a recliner. I woke from the dream and burst into praying in tongues as if I were gasping for air. Very powerful! (Recliner speaks of rest. Tongues as if gasping for air speaks of new birth by the Spirit into an environment of spiritual sustenance. We are sustained by Christ through the Spirit of God as we enter into His rest by faith.)

In another dream I was told my name had been changed and as I looked around I saw lettering on my truck which read, "Apostle John."

Dec 25th, 2003  --- Dream/Vision:

I had a dream in which I was taken to a wall hanging and asked if I remembered being told about people needing instruction. I then saw a vision in the picture while still hearing this voice (like the vision was being narrated). I entered into the vision and was joined by Apostle John (of the first century) who took me to an island where a proxy elder had once been anointed and was being ordained as she was assisting a small group of others in a local assembly.

The narrative voice explained that this woman had stopped communicating with spiritual government and the assembly had grown into a huge gathering of thousands. As we drew near, I saw them all gathered together in one place in what seamed to be a celebration. One person who was with us said, "THAT'S an assembly??" The Apostle John (of the first century) then motioned up toward the sky. I saw storm clouds had formed a very large disk above the gathering. I looked into the center of the large gray disk and realized that this was the face of an enormous clock. I turned to John and asked, Have you then set a limit before this darkness comes upon them?

I then realized that it was my responsibility to go and speak to this person and correct her thinking in order to draw them back into covenant with God before it was too  late. They had been granted a limited opportunity to repent.

Apr 23rd, 2004 --- Dream:

I climbed up on our roof to put salt on it and then a new layer of shingles over the salt. (Salt is a preservative which is symbolic of truth. Shingles are used as a SEAL which preserves the framework of a house from the outside elements.)

Apr 25th, 2004 --- Dream:

I was instructing a group in the faith while a chief elder oversaw. I had finished training a young man and I then oversaw him as he began to train others in the faith of Jesus Christ.

July 10th, 2004 --- Dream:

A chief elder was driving me somewhere in a convertible with the top down. While he was driving, he was talking to me about expounding on 1 John chapter 2 which he wanted me to go over next in assembly.

  

Jul 13th, 2004 --- Dream:

Responsibility was being transferred from Chief Apostle Eric to me. This was symbolized by the many animals in the area which came to him for food and shelter were now being brought to me.
