Deliverance Follows Obedience

Deliverance Follows Obedience
Prepare your heart to seek God for obedience that you may observe and do all that Christ has commanded through His holy apostles.
"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one consent." (Zephaniah 3:9)

Doing what we can do

I heard this line during a preview of the soon to be released Star Trek movie, "I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I only know what I can do."

This speaks quite well to the state of Adam in darkness. Why don't they know? Because they think its impossible to know. They think they can effect change without knowing the purpose of their existence. They think their part its to do what they feel they CAN do.

Luke  18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
What are these things? Knowing the mind of Christ. Jesus was explaining to His apostles that man cannot know what God had concealed from him without being joined to Him. He said, possible WITH God.

What man thinks is possible, is without value to God. Man doing what he can works darkness. This is what Apostle Paul says he counted as dung (Philippians)

We are called to walk above the waters with God through faith in Christ. We have a spiritual priesthood. This spiritual priesthood is not restricted by the law of these waters which condemns. We are carpooled to walk with Him by knowledge with understanding hearts.

We don't do what we can. We obey His voice. And by this, the waters part before us as we follow after His Spirit working with His His selected steward.

(Matthew 14:29, 1 Peter 2:5, Exodus 23:22)

This has been my common daily experience since learning of the covenant knowledge and true hope of Christ 11 years ago. Are you also experiencing this Christ? I write this not to those who yet slumber in darkness but to those who have been awakened and are seeking Him for His Light. You will not find His light in darkness. You can behold Him here and now. His kingdom is at hand.
