I woke from a dream at 1:30 this morning about people setting a challenge of the moral code for me. At 3:30 I woke and saw a vision of my response being posted with a quoted scripture. They were using my words and their prejudiced interpretation of this verse against me as to say, "Ha! We caught you!"
My reflection, "Why would I seek justification in the moral code when God justifies faith in Christ?"
Being justified by faith grants us liberty to stand in the Light of His perspective.
Its tempting to think this liberty gives license to freely express our moods. Asking scale questions helps address these misconceptions.
What kingdom would that give expression too?
Does this draw faith from the heart our sympathy for flesh?
Using our liberty means we are not seeking shelter in mans approval but that does not mean we are free to offend men. Even Michael the archangel brought not railing accusation against Satan. So to do we show wisdom by allowing grace and truth to bridle the tongue.
For as we guard the gate of our soul from false knowledge gaining entrance, so too are we of need to guard the gate from old man who shouts from within for a sympathetic ear.
