None of the apostles felt the need to repeat the washing of feet. They saw no record for their faith to follow in this act performed by Jesus. Yet today we see people trying to do it in an attempt to align themselves with Jesus and gain some insights into having the heart of a servant.
It was not the physical act of washing feet but the sharing of Holy knowledge that cleansed their thinking... this is what they must receive again today to be washed by His spoken Word. The Spirit works with covenant stewardship... not the letter... not the aspiration.
